Hi, I'm Jen

I thought it would be helpful to know a bit about me and my journey to founding Wellbeing Flow. 

 

I was born in Manchester, UK, I love being a Mum, helping women with their healing and overall health and wellbeing, cyclical living, nature, walks, travel, exploring new places and lots of tea drinking, especially chamomile :)

Reclaiming my own wellbeing

When I moved away from Manchester in 2016, it was the change in location and environment that gave me the space to begin my own deep healing journey; unravelling why I had become so unconsciously unwell in my own life (over a number of decades) and discovering fully what maladaptive coping mechanisms, unconscious self-medicating and prescribed medications had done to make me more unwell and unfulfilled in numerous areas of my life. 

 

For a few decades I had unknowingly experienced symptoms of post-traumatic stress and pre-menstrual dysphoria, emotions were often very unclear and symptoms were on and off, because of the ways they would get suppressed and numbed. I had processed very little of my experiences until my breakdown began. 

 

The mental and physical breakdown I experienced in 2017-2018 was so tough, however it was actually a huge breakthrough, which completely and unexpectedly also led to an awakening of more consciousness where the part of my brain, known as the pre-frontal cortex, began to process past traumas and experiences. I can now say having a breakdown is one of the best things that could have happened, of course I didn’t think this at the time and having help and support was absolutely essential.

 

On that healing journey, I reconnected healthily and fully with my intuition, my feminine energy and finally reconnected my mind, body and soul. I reclaimed my wellbeing and really my whole life. From the bottom of my heart, this is what I want for all my clients, to live their life. 

 

From a young age, debt and financial worries were always present, and through healing, the financial area of my life has started to repair. I want women considering working with me, to know I’ll always be open to discussing financial concerns and payment plans because I know full well how much anxiety can arise when figuring out a way to pay for the help and support you need.

Helping women

Emotional connection, boundaries, yoga, energy healing, building knowledge, and other holistic modalities, have all played integral parts in my own healing and wellbeing reclamation. 

 

In my tailored one to one programmes, I support my clients holistically. I hold safe spaces for my clients to share, and I share my experiences and what I've learnt. I now know from personal experience how sharing with those you feel comfortable with, can profoundly help healing and wellbeing. 

 

As women, we often need space and slowing down for our feminine energy to flow, to be able to make conscious decisions and choices from our intuition, set boundaries and open ourselves to receiving what truly nourishes us. We all have feminine and masculine energies, and I understand and have experienced the imbalances that can arise between them. I'm here to help guide women in rebalancing them where there is an imbalance.

 

I can support women with their wellbeing who are tapering off or have tapered off Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI) medications, prescribed for anxiety, depression, stress, post-traumatic stress and pre-menstrual dysphoria. Awakening

When I had an awakening of more consciousness over time and this has continued, it also became a completely unexpected spiritual awakening. Being spiritual for me doesn't relate to any religion, I’m not religious. 

 

 It took time, however I now feel conscious in ways I didn't used to feel. This was because of the traumas I'd experienced, the ways I used to cope and my subsequent behaviours (sometimes part conscious, mostly unconsciously), and the various types of conditioning that had power over me. Healing and awakening has been a wild and shocking ride at times! With such a mixed bag of emotions. It has also led me to experience authentic feelings of bliss, peace, being centred and grounded in who I actually am and when times are tough. Helping other women to feel better and to experience life beyond suppressing and numbing vital emotions, survival, struggle and autopilot is an honour in my life.

 

Part of being spiritual for me, means feeling it all in my human experience and healing with others I comfortable with, maturing, helping others, learning, growing, transformation, living from my heart and listening to my intuition, living in alignment with my soul's purpose and values.

Cyclical living

Supporting women with their wellbeing who are struggling with their menstrual cycle, perimenopause, at the point of menopause and post-menopause is such an honour for me and a big passion of mine.

 

Having healed pre-menstrual dysphoria and my entire menstrual cycle, I know what a hugely positive difference it can make to life.

 

I love cyclical living, which means living life in harmony with natural cycles like the seasons, the moon cycle, and for menstruators, the menstrual cycle.

I say to any woman who feels scared, worried or apprehensive about fully facing their challenges, healing, growing and transforming, you can absolutely do it and on your own terms. It’s your birthright.

 

On that journey you can do it with self-love, self-care, self-kindness and self-compassion; this is about you and your future. 

 

By going inward, healing and integrating our past traumas, our current issues and working through our conditioning, we create space for our fully authentic selves, getting to know yourself better, times of beautiful living and continued transformation. You can begin to create the life you actually want, feeling and experiencing it all in an empowered way with tools to support you, and can embrace life's inevitable future challenges as further catalysts for personal growth. 

 

When a woman begins to heal and prioritises her wellbeing, it can lead to mind, body and soul feeling reconnected. This is all contributing towards the feminine energy rising on the planet, and collectively this is what our beautiful planet desperately needs too.

10% of each Wellbeing Flow programme is donated to ActionAid, an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty. ActionAid are ending violence and fighting poverty so that all women and girls, everywhere, can create the future they want.

  • NCFE certification in Therapeutic Coaching Skills and the Integrated Coaching Academy Diploma in Fusion Therapeutic Coaching. Accredited by the National College of Further Education (NCFE).

  • Raw Horizon Academy – Wellbeing Coach Training. Accredited by The Association for Coaching & NHS Personalised Care Institute.

  • 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Lucy McCarthy and Eliza Coolsma. Accredited by Yoga Alliance.

  • Practitioner Level (Okuden) training of Reiki 2 in both Western and Japanese Reiki Lineages, which can be traced back to Mikao Usui. Usui Reiki Ryoho (Usui Spiritual Energy Method) and Usui Shiki Ryoho (Usui Natural Healing Method). Training accredited by the Complementary Medical Association.

Important note, in my work I can support women with their wellbeing who are tapering off or have tapered off Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI) medications prescribed for anxiety, depression, stress, post-traumatic stress and pre-menstrual dysphoria. 

 

Whilst tapering you must be under the supervision of your prescribing health professional whether that be your Doctor and/or Psychiatrist or other health professional. I am happy to liaise with any health professional. 

 

I raise awareness about the need for full informed consent prior to taking Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs). This is something I feel very passionate about after my own experiences with the medications earlier in my life.
